The “Magenta” series is inspired by a major change I made in my life that altered my trajectory. Much like Picasso’s blue and rose periods, the color symbolizes the shift in my world view. The vibrancy of the magenta expresses the way these changes have enriched and energized me and given me a new lens with which to experience life. Each object helps tell the story of my journey. The fortune cookie shows that there is some degree of serendipity in personal success, despite efforts to micromanage life choices.
